QB Tom Brady and his offense proved to the NFL that the New England Patriots are not on death’s door. The Patriots thrashed the Buffalo Bills 52-28 on Sunday with an impressive second half effort.

The fact that the Patriots rolled 45 points on the so called new and improved Bills defense was nothing to dismiss. Many people in the media had the Pats going up to Buffalo and coming out with a third straight loss to fall to 1-3.

That didn’t happen though as New England righted the ship for now at least. The team’s attention now turns to long time rival Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

Manning is making his return to Foxborough after his year off because of his neck injury. While the Patriots were impressive in the second half against the Bills, the defense has continued to struggle after losing the lead late to the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth quarter of their week three loss.

Up until late in the Baltimore game the New England defense looked to be improved across the board. They will have to improve their game with Manning looking to take shots at them consistently on Sunday.

If New England falls on Sunday they could hurt their chances of  getting back into the hunt for solid playoff seeding. This will be a big game for the Patriots and for the Broncos as well.
