You can question Arizona Cardinals’ QB Kevin Kolb’s ability to throw the ball, you may question his decision making, but do not question his toughness. After taking 8 sacks last week against the Miami Dolphins, Kolb took another beating taking on the St. Louis Rams. He goes down hard time after time, but yet you don’t see him complain. He wants to win just as much, if not more, than any other quarterback in the NFL.
He gets up after taking a linebacker to the face at full steam. He gets up after getting hit in the face so hard he bleeds. He gets up after getting his helmet ripped off by a 300 pound behemoth. His horrible offensive line lets people through like a swinging door. The pressure on a Kolb is enormous. The entire offense is ran through him. He has no line, he has no running back. He has a Hall of Fame receiver with no time to get him the ball. There is nothing to take the heat of Kolb, but yet he still plays.
He came to the Cardinals with pressure. He was benched, he lost he job and couldn’t get it back. When he did get it back before the end of week 1, it was the end of the Cardinals week 5 in the flash of an eye. He beat the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, and Miami Dolphins. You may doubt that he won those games, you may question how long he holds onto the ball. You may question why he throws a 3 yard pass on 4th down when we need 6, but do not question his toughness. He has been sacked 17 times in two weeks, but he just continues to get back up. The Cardinals are 4-1 and still in first place in the NFC west.
