Mike Neal Activated on the Green Bay Packers Roster
Jeff Hanisch- US PRESSWIRE
Green Bay Packers defensive end Mike Neal has been activated on the roster after being suspended for the first four games of the season for breaking the NFL’s performance-enhancing drugs policy. To make room for Neal, the Packers have released defensive end Phillip Merling.
Neal is now in his third year in the league, all of which have been with the Packers, and it is still unclear how much coach Mike McCarthy will use Neal. Last season, Neal played in seven games and only had three tackles with zero sacks. Neal is expected to be an up and coming player for the Packers defense but he has yet to show any signs of becoming that player.
