Week 5 Position Battle #1: Aldon Smith versus Chris Hariston
The first battle I will focus on is Buffalo Bills left tackle Chris Hairston (photoed above) against San Francisco 49ers rush linebacker Aldon Smith.(photoed below)
Both players are in their second year in the league, while Aldon Smith has been wreaking havoc since being drafted number seven overall and Chris Hairston has played spot duty due to injuries to Demetress Bell last year, and now Cordy Glenn this year after being taken 122nd in the fourth round.
Chris Hairston will have his hands full to say the least versus Aldon Smith, since Aldon has had eighteen and a half sacks in twenty games.
Aldon has tremendous speed and that’s how he beats his blockers than overwhelming strength, while Chris is a big physical mauling type of offensive lineman whom is better at plowing the road for running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller than a finesse pass blocker.
I really think this could be an interesting position battle between Chris Hairston and Aldon Smith to say the least as they are contrasting styles of players.
Here is the tale of the tape between these two guys:

This stat about Lavonte David shows just how amazing he truly is
Next to J.J. Watt, you could make a solid case that Lavonte David is the best defender in the NFL. You won't hear that from the press or ESPN or the fans or the end-of-the-year-award voters, but stats don't lie. And this stat says it all. Read More
