Jermichael Finley and B.J. Raji did not participate in Wednesday’s practice for the Green Bay Packers. Finley injured his shoulder while Raji injured his ankle during last weekend’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Even though both players didn’t practice, head coach Mike McCarthy said that there is a chance that both players could play on Sunday night.
Though Finley missed practice, he expects to play this coming Sunday. The rest on today was most likely just so he could rest his slightly dislocated AC joint which should be much better by game time. As of now he is listed as questionable for the game, but it will be a surprise if he doesn’t start.
“I’m not going to let an AC joint in the shoulder hold me back,” Finley said. “God willing, if this recovery goes well, I’m for sure playing.”
As for Raji, he wasn’t as confident as Finley that he would play, but he still thinks there is a possibility he could be out on the field this Sunday.
“I have an optimistic personality. I try to be positive,” Raji said. “At the end of this week, if I can’t go, I can’t go, but knowing I’ve put in all I can to give it a chance, that’s what I rely on.”
The Packers star receiver, Greg Jennings, also missed practice on Wednesday and running back Cedric Benson was placed on the injured reserved list after his foot injury last week.
