In his career against the San Diego Chargers, Peyton Manning has 12 touchdowns and 16 interceptions in seven regular season games.

The Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers are the only other teams that Manning threw more interceptions than touchdowns against in his career.

Manning’s former team found a way to win games despite his play at times against San Diego because they were 4-3 against them in the regular season.

Manning ranks fourth in the NFL this season with 1,499 passing yards, fourth in quarterback rating at 101.0 and fourth in touchdown passes with 11.

Manning ranks ninth in the NFL with an average of 7.6 yards per pass attempt while San Diego ranks ninth on defense as they allow 6.7 yards per pass attempt.

Manning has only thrown three interceptions this season and San Diego is tied for eighth in interceptions with six.  This will be a battle between Manning and San Diego’s secondary.

Manning joined the Denver Broncos when he signed a five year deal worth $96 million on March 20, 2012.  The Chargers will play Denver tomorrow night in San Diego at 5:30 PDT.

Denver ranks 21st in the NFL at 3.8 yards per rushing attempt, so the focus should be on slowing down Manning.  This was something that San Diego was unable to do in two previous games against elite quarterbacks this season.

I expect Manning to have at least one touchdown pass, but I also think that San Diego’s secondary will have at least two interceptions.

If San Diego’s secondary does this, it will give the Lightning Bolts a great shot at winning tomorrow night’s game.
