Stop if you heard this one before. A Norv Turner coached San Diego Chargers game roared out to a big lead in a crucial game. However, the entire team fell apart in the second half and they ended up on the wrong side of the final score. Rise, lather, repeat. Nothing changes with this team, which means a coaching change should be made at some point.
I mean, Norv is not the only one at fault. Philip Rivers did his normal schtick, which means he absolutely fell apart when his team needed him most. Peyton Manning stepped out of a time machine and absolutely willed his team back to another after using a big boost from his defense.
However, Turner is the coach and he might have to fall on the sword for this mess. His team was in the driver’s seat and had a huge 24 point lead. They managed to hold that lead for about 23 minutes. That is absolutely pathetic. Every unit absolutely fell apart.
Turner must give the absolute worst halftime speeches on the planet. His teams look so lifeless late in games. They are afraid of the moment, which means they are channeling their head coach. These Chargers teams should have made at least one Super Bowl, but they choked every year. That sounds like an issue with the coaching staff if you ask me.
When everyone online is making fun of you during a game, there is something wrong. Maybe the Chargers will finally get the message about their coach.
