It’s one thing to pull of an upset victory that not many expect and to do so humbly and it’s another to pull off that same upset and then let the world know exactly how you feel about the opponent which you just defeated and how the unthinkable happened. In the case of Seattle Seahawks corner back Richard Sherman, the latter is the way to go following his Seahawks surprising everyone except themselves and defeating the New England Patriots in comeback fashion 24-23 on Sunday.

Following the game Sherman told Yahoo! Sports that the Patriots had a “gimmick offense” and that was the reason they were able to hold them to just six points in the second half during their match up. “Anytime you run a gimmick offense, you’re a little bit afraid…you’re not sound in what you do in your base stuff”, said Sherman who continued on to Yahoo! Sports with “You’re running this hurry up stuff and there’s a reason it’s not effective because there are great defenses out there who will stuff out.”

Sherman then later went on to tell the Tacoma News Tribune about Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, “Me and (safety Earl Thomas) walked to him and said, ‘We’re greater than you. We’re better than you. You’re just a man–we’re a team'”. Sherman also told the Tribune “that’s the Brady Bunch; this is a defense. We’ve got 11 players out there to play great and we’re never going to let one man beat us. It’s not just about one man. If they’ve got 11 players out there on offense, then they’re one hell of a team.”

The icing on the cake however may have been Sherman tweeting a picture of him screaming at Brady at the conclusion of the game on his verified Twitter account @RSherman_25 followed by a serious a trash-talking tweets which included “Patriots fans mad lol…..Talking about Super Bowl rings…….what have you done lately? Oh ur 3-3 lol.

The Seahawks trailed the Patriots 23-10 in the fourth quarter before Seattle scored the final 14 points to pull off the amazing comeback led by rookie quarterback Russel Wilson who finished the game with 293 passing yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions and completed 16 of his 27 attempts. Sherman also had a very good game picking Brady of once while deflecting three passes and making three tackles to go along with his extremely colorful post game remarks.
