Just a few short weeks ago the Arizona Cardinals were 4-0 and ranked in the top 5 by many Power Rankings across the NFL. The Cardinals were finally given some of the respect they had earned. After falling out of the top 5 last week, the Cardinals fell out of the top ten after a week 6 loss to the Buffalo Bills.
This drop in the NFL Power Rankings is warranted because the Cardinals lost to a team that only had two victories against two of the worst teams in the NFL. In fact, the Kansas City Chiefs and Cleveland Browns are 32nd and 30th respectively. The Cardinals beat tough teams this year and should not have lost to the Bills. However, it’s over now and the Cardinals must move on, but after two surprisingly bad losses, the Cardinals are going to have to do some work to get back in the top ten.
That “work” will have to start on Sunday with John Skelton against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are a top ten team. If the Cardinals win this weekend, I predict that the teams will basically switch places in the rankings. All of this pending what happens to the rest of the top ten.
The Cardinals have had some bad luck this season. However, they are a 4-2 team that everybody expected to be a 3-3 team. Their wins are not what fans might have expected and after the first four games their losses were shockers. This is a team that likes to keep you on the edge of your seat. I can tell you right now if you wanna go for a wild ride get on the “Birdgang” train.
