NFL Injury Report Week 7

Injury Report
US Presswire-US Presswire

With another week in the books for the 2012 NFL season it's now time to focus on the unfortunate part of the action which are the injuries. Each and every week there are injuries across the league and although in week six there were as many injuries as there usually are the ones that did occur were extremely significant ones including a couple of season ending ones. Here is the NFL injury report heading into week seven of the year.

2 of 6

Ray Lewis and Ladarius Webb

Ravens
Evan Habeeb-US Presswire

The Baltimore Ravens were ravaged by injuries in their 31-29 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Future Hall-of-Fame linebacker Ray Lewis will miss the remainder of the season with a torn triceps muscle which will be devastating for a defense that has already been shaky this season. There are so outlets saying that this could possibly end Lewis' career, but I don't believe so because Ray isn't going out like that.

Ravens starting corner back Ladarius Webb was also lost in that game and will miss the rest of the season due to a torn ACL in his left knee. Defensive tackle Haloti N'gata suffered a sprained MCL and is questionable for Baltimore's match up this week versus the Houston Texans.

Demarco Murray and Sean Lissemore

Cowboys

The Cowboys also suffered their share of injuries during that physical contest with the Ravens as running back Demarco Murray suffered a sprained left foot and will miss Dallas' game this week versus the Carolina Panthers.

Rookie corner back Morris Claiborne is questionable for the game versus the panthers due to sprained left knee and defensive end Sean Lissemore will miss a few weeks due to a high ankle sprain.

4 of 6

Kevin Kolb

Cardinals
Mark J. Rebilas-US Presswire

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb will be sidelined for six to eight weeks due to suffering detached ribs from his sternum and sprained sternoclavicular joint in his chest which occurred in the Cardinals 19-16 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills. Maybe if the Arizona offensive line would have done a better job protecting Kolb all season he wouldn't have had to deal with such a painful injury.

5 of 6

Brandon Saine and D.J. Smith

Packers

The Green Bay Packers suffered a pair of season ending injuries in their 42-24 victory over the Texans. Linebacker D.J. Smith suffered what the team is calling a significant knee injury and has been placed on IR while running back Brandon Saine was also placed on IR with a significant knee injury as well.

The Texans also had a player suffer a season ending injury when defensive end Tim Jamison tore his Achilles during the Sunday Night Football game.

Although this injury occurred during week five, there was an update on it which was just released; Cleveland Browns linebacker Scott Fujita suffered a neck injury versus the New York Giants and now team officials are stating that it could be career ending.
