Week 7 Position Battle #1: Mario Williams Versus David Stewart

Williams, Mario 3

Mark J. Rebilas-US PRESSWIRE

Another week, and another group of position battles as this week the first battle I will lay out for you this week is going to be a crown jewel of one as Mario Williams (pictured above) the left end of the Buffalo Bills takes on David Stewart (pictured below) the right tackle for the Tennessee Titans.

These two guys should be extremely familiar with each other since, Mario used to be part of the Houston Texans and they are division rivals of the Tennessee Titans and would play one another two times a season, when/if each were healthy since 2008.

Mario Williams is coming off of his best performance as a Buffalo Bill last Sunday as he sacked Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kevin Kolb twice before he was knocked out of the game with a serious rib injury that will sideline him for about six weeks.

David Stewart has been a perpetual stalwart at right tackle for the Titans since he won the starting gig, as he is an exceptional run blocker and an underrated pass blocker, he should provide an excellent change to keep Mario’s stats as low as possible.

Let’s go to the tale of the tape between Mario Williams and David Stewart:
