NFL Rumors about Tim Tebow are always fun. The New York Jets backup quarterback is one of the most polarizing figures in sports, so you know people care about what could happen with him. There might be a new position in store for him on Sunday as the Jets may use him as a running back. Seriously.
With Jets hurting at RB, could NYJ plug Tim Tebow in at RB vs Pats? Rex: “The answer is yes.” #nyj

Why yes, this move would be simply fantastic. It may not be super effective but it would give opposing teams a moment of pause. If you can force a team to burn a timeout earlier than they want, it ends up being a win in that book. A Tebow running game may not be the fastest thing in the world, but he will fight hard for those tough yards.
This move will certainly get a lot of attention if it actually happens. I would take this with a grain of salt right now, but it is something to keep an eye on for the future. It would make the Jets a lot more fun to watch in my book. You may not like Tebow, but he will always steal the headlines.
That is why rumors are such fun. They may not always be based in actuality but they do create some pretty good talking points. Next week, let’s start one to have Tebow become a kicker. It’d certainly be fun.
