Week 7 Position Battle #2: Chris Hairston Versus Derrick Morgan
In the second position battle between Buffalo Bills left tackle Chris Hairston (pictured above), will take on Tennessee Titans right end Derrick Morgan (pictured below) at Ralph Wilson Stadium tomorrow at 1pm.
Chris has been playing spot duty at left tackle while starter Cordy Glenn heals with a high ankle sprain, and he has done an excellent job to say the least. In the past two weeks he has taken on Aldon Smith and Darnell Dockett in back to back weeks and that is no easy task to say the least. Especially Aldon Smith whom has already nineteen and a half sacks in 23 games which is impressive. In the game versus the Arizona Cardinals, Chris opened up holes that ended up in a touchdown for each running back Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller.
Derrick is an emerging defensive end for Tennessee out of Georgia Tech whom is a good but not yet great run defender. So far in 2012, he’s had seventeen tackles and two and a half sacks. Last week versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Morgan led titans defense only allowed the Steelers to only 56 yards rushing so confidence might be on their side.
Let’s go to the tale of the tape between Chris Hairston and Derrick Morgan:
