Sean Lee is one of the best young linebackers in football. In fact, he is one of the key players on the defense for the Dallas Cowboys. However, his season may be in doubt as the team fears that he may need surgery that would end his season.
Just filed @espndallas – Cowboys fear Sean Lee needs season ending surgery on right big toe

Lee is extremely impressive and the loss of him would certainly impact the Cowboys going forward. He does a lot of clean up work in the middle of the field and the team would sorely miss that going forward. If he is unable to play the rest of the season, you could probably dismiss any playoff chance the team may have.
It is unsure if this is going to happen but when a team fears something, that fear is normally correct. I have not seen a report where a team ends up being wrong on an injury guess. This would be a huge blow to the team and to the fan base. Some fans are already upset with the team and a struggling season might just put some of them over the edge.
We will follow this news until something concrete happens. Until then, Cowboys fans should probably be in panic mode. The team has a lot of issues and removing Lee does not help with any of them. It could be another long winter in Dallas. At least they have a nice stadium.
