Who Will Step up for the Arizona Cardinals?
The Arizona Cardinals need someone to play out of their mind on Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. It could be someone that you would expect to play well like Larry Fitzgerald or Patrick Peterson, but what if it’s someone else? Better yet, who else is there? The entire defense for the Arizona Cardinals can play well, but it is the offense that needs to step up their game for the Cardinals to go into a tie for first place in the NFC West.
The offensive production starts at the offensive line. What if the Cardinals didn’t give up a single sack? What if Bobby Massie and D’Anthony Batiste don’t add to their huge sack counter? John Skelton needs to play better this week. If he does not the Cardinals will lose. It not all on his shoulders it’s just hard to argue against the quarterback when talking about the most important position on the field. It will take a team effort on Sunday, but someone needs to step their game up. Personally, I think it will be Peterson. He has not had a good punt return in a while and he is poised to break one down the sideline in a game that every one believes will be decided by defense. The special teams will be key this weekend for sure.
The Cardinals get Anthony Sherman and Reggie Walker back for the first time in two weeks. Both players are considered special team standouts in addition to their respective roles on offense and defense. The 49ers are favored in this one, but the Cardinals can prevail if the right situation presents itself. The key for the Cardinals will be too stay in the game until the end. Anything can happen in the fourth quarter and if the Cardinals are there they may have a chance to steal a win from one of the best teams in the NFL.
