Denver Broncos’ Peyton Manning, Wesley Woodyard Receive Weekly Player Awards
It is not usual that an offensive player and defensive player for the same team receive Player of the Week awards, but this week Broncos QB Peyton Manning was nominated for the FedEx Air award and LB Wesley Woodyard was named the AFC Player of the Week by the NFL.
Both players were well deserving of the awards as each put up numbers this week against the Saints that were mentioned in the record books.
Manning became only the second QB in the history of the NFL to throw for over 300 yards and three touchdowns in four consecutive games. Manning was nominated for this same award two other times this season.
Woodyard also found his way into the record books by becoming on the ninth player in the history of the NFL to record at least 10 tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble in the same game. However, the league only began to recognize a sack as an official sack in 1982.
These performances were two reasons why the Broncos were able to dominate the Saints and hopefully these players will continue to make the Broncos one of the elite teams in the NFL.

Six players who can replace Junior Galette for the New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints had an unexpectedly exciting final weekend before training camp, parting ways with embattled 2013 and 2014 sack leader Junior Galette due to a series of off-field incidents. At any rate, the Saints have six candidates in place to pick up the slack and try to reproduce Galette’s tremendous pressure coming off the edge. They are a diverse group of highly-touted rookies, promising second-year athletes, and seasoned veterans in the twilight of their careers. Read More

Breaking down Dri Archer and his role(s) on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster
It's amazing how much changes in one year. Last training camp, writers like me were simply gushing over the possibilities Dri Archer's 4.26 speed could bring to the Steelers offense in 2014. The only caveat was his size (5'8”, 173 lbs). To compensate for Archer's lack of girth and muscle and to best utilize his speed, getting Archer out in space, away from those big, angry defenders looking to throw him around like a rag doll, would be key to him making an impact in his rookie season and beyond. Will he find a spot on the Steelers 53-man roster? Read More
