Norv Turner has not had what you would call a good season. The San Diego Chargers coach has looked more befuddled than normal as the team has stumbled out of the gate. In a move that is not shocking, NFL rumors have started to pick up about his job security. Some of them even say he could be fired if the Chargers lose on Thursday night.
Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego says on PFT Live says that he thinks Norv Turner gets fired tomorrow if Chargers lose tonight to the Chiefs.

It would be an odd time to fire Norv, but it would make a lot of sense. He has been holding onto a job for way too long. The Chargers are consistent underachievers. Not exactly something that you want to have on your coaching resume. They still have time to turn this year around, but the chances of that are getting smaller by the week.
Needless to say, I will be watching the Thursday night game quite closely. If the Chargers come out flat, there is a very good chance that they end up losing. That means all of us will have to pay attention to the news on Friday. A firing would kind of surprise me but I would find it justified. Most Chargers fans would probably agree with that as well.
The league would be a lot less entertaining without the Turner/Philip Rivers combo but I think we could survive. There is always some stupid coach willing to take up the mantle of coach most likely to be cursed out by fans.
