The Denver Broncos Will Run The Table The Rest Of The Season

The Denver Broncos have beaten the San Diego Chargers while making the record books and demolished the New Orleans Saints 34-14 by keeping Drew Brees at bay. The Broncos struggled late in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals after getting out to an early lead, but fought back and won like they were never in a position to lose.

It will not surprise me if the Broncos do not lose another game this season.

Not only have the Broncos been through it all and have done just about everything elite teams do, their schedule will also lighten up a lot the rest of the way.

The Broncos will be on the road against the Carolina Panthers (2-6), Kansas City Chiefs (1-7), Oakland Raiders (3-5) and the Baltimore Ravens (6-2).

Denver will host the Chargers (4-4), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-4), Cleveland Browns (2-7), and the Chiefs (1-7).

The remaining opponents for Denver have a combined record of 23-42 and the Broncos are hitting their stride while heading into the weaker end of their schedule.

In the first eight games, their opponents’ combined records at this point are 38-26.

So as you can see, the Broncos have come away with a 5-3 record after dealing with what could have been the toughest schedule of any NFL team through the first eight games of the season.

In an earlier post I predicted the Broncos would go 10-6 and win the AFC West. In that prediction I only had them losing two of these remaining games and if that does happen the Broncos will be 11-5 and easily win their division, but now I see Denver winning them all.
