Chandler Jones is This Week’s Public Enemy No. 1
Welcome back to Public Enemy No. 1, this week I chose a Western New York native in New England Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones because he is an excellent pass rusher. Jones is also an underrated run defender as well. Once again this isn’t a defamation article, as much as it’s a token of respect that I bestow on opposing teams’ defensive players that need to be stopped by all means necessary in order to give my beloved Buffalo Bills a win that day.
He also comes from a freakish athletic family of brothers, Jon Jones is the UFC light heavyweight champion, and Arthur Jones is a defensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens. And it looks like he might become at worst the second most successful brother of the three sooner than later.
So far in the first nine games this season, Jones has amassed six sacks and 18 tackles which are amazing numbers for an established veteran, let alone a rookie in the NFL. If he keeps this pace up, he will have somewhere between 11-14 sacks be strongly considered for the Defensive Rookie of the Year, but that’s just my take what do you all think?
Once again thank you for reading one of my articles, and I heavily encourage discussion so either leave a comment on here, hit me up on twitter @TheProfessorSD or I am using Google+ so if you could +1 this and any other article of mine you’ve read and liked. I will discuss this article or anything else you’d like football related! Have a great day!
