San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers is coming off a huge game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rivers completed 90 percent of his passes for two touchdowns, one interception and had a season high 11 yards per pass attempt against KC.
Kansas City allows 8.9 yards per pass attempt which ranks last in the NFL.
I expect a big game from Rivers against Tampa Bay, but Rivers has to be careful because Tampa Bay has 13 interceptions which rank third in the NFL. Rivers has thrown 10 interceptions which ranks fifth in the NFL.
Rivers did not throw an interception in only two of his team’s eight games, so this could be a problem on Sunday going up against a team that has so many interceptions.
Tampa Bay has a below average pass rush because they rank 26th in the NFL with 13 team sacks, so Rivers should not have to rush his throws against them.
I expect Rivers to have at least 300 passing yards with three touchdowns and one interception against Tampa Bay.
This may or may not be enough to win because Tampa Bay averages 6.2 yards per play on offense which ranks first in the NFL and they average 28.2 points per game which ranks fifth in the league.
