The New York Giants will meet the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday, in the Giants last game before the bye week. The Giants could use the boost of confidence going into their bye week, especially after playing not exactly what you’d call their best football as of late. Here are some things you need to keep an eye on for this week as the Giants try to win their first-ever game in Cincinnati.

Protect Your Neck: Antrel Rolle and A.J. Green have had a war of words in the media over the past few days, which may or may not carry onto the football field. Green is sixth in the league in receiving yards, sixth in yards per game and tied for first in touchdowns. Needless to say, he will get the ball early and probably often. It’s hard to stop Green, but the Giants need to find a way to at least contain him on Sunday.

Get To Red: The Giants need to put pressure on Andy Dalton. The Bengals have given up 22 sacks this year. They face creative 3-4 defenses in their own division, but haven’t faced a defensive line like the Giants, especially since it looks like Justin Tuck is playing better and might even be healthy. The Bengals only score touchdowns through the air. They only have five rushing touchdowns on the season, so if they are going to score it’s probably going to be through the air.

Manning Up: Eli Manning needs to step up and be the player he’s capable of being. He is struggling right now, and if the Giants are going to win on Sunday, he needs to play better. He has only thrown for 327 yards in the past two games, after throwing for 337 three weeks ago. The team does as Eli does and he needs to play better – and he will.
