It sure is a different pace this week as the Tennessee Titans traveled to face the Miami Dolphins. After an embarrassing beat down on their own turf against the Chicago Bears last week, the Titans got it done defeating the Dolphins 37-3. Was it as simple as bringing back starting quarterback Jake Locker?

A few weeks ago everyone was saying, keep Matt Hasselbeck in the game. The Titans are playing better with him in as starter. Well the last two weeks haven’t been so pretty. From the looks of it, Jake Locker’s shoulder is feeling as good as new. He started the game with getting sacked during the first drive, but he kept going.

Jared Cook, Chris Johnson, and Kendall Wright all scored touchdowns for Tennessee. Rob Bironas, as usual, was solid with his extra points and field goal attempts.

All is fine and well but let’s talk defense, because that is something that the Titans have been lacking all year. In fact they are the worst team in the NFL in points given up. But yet today, they grabbed three interceptions from Ryan Tannehill, who hadn’t thrown a pick in his last four games.

Rookie linebacker Zack Brown, Colin McCarthy and Akeem Ayers all have interceptions for the Titans.

Who are these guys and where have they been? Here’s a little statistic for many of you Tennessee doubters. Don’t sleep on them just yet. I know it’s been scary up until now but they have had the second toughest schedule in the NFL next to the Dallas Cowboys. Their games should look more like this for the rest of the season.

Call me crazy, but if they can continue, the Playoffs are still a possibility. This was an excellent game played by Tennessee’s defense. They needed this badly. Bud Adams has to be happy with this after he blew up on the team last week.
