Week 11 Public Enemy #1 is Cameron Wake
Public Enemy #1 returns early this week due the shorten week for the Buffalo Bills as they play Thursday night in Ralph Wilson Stadium versus the Miami Dolphins and I have named Cameron Wake this week’s recipient of this honor.
Wake has transitioned from the rush linebacker in the 3-4 to the right defensive end position effortlessly this year so far and has eight and a half sacks t show for it. Though he is undersized at 6′ 3″ and 258 lbs. this hasn’t stopped him from giving opposing teams’ quarterbacks migraines from game planning around him, not to mention the barrage of hits he lays on them.
Coming out after 2005, he wasn’t even drafted in the NFL, was brought to the New York Giants in April, but was cut in June of the same year. After a year away from football, he became rejuvenated when he went up north to the CFL for the 2007 and 2008 seasons for the BC Lions after and was a sacking machine and had 23 in 2008, and was named defensive player of the year unanimously. After this, he received offers from several teams but settled on the Dolphins and signed a four year $4.9 million dollar contract, and on May 5th of this year wake signed a 4 year extension worth $49 million dollars deal with $20 million guaranteed.
