Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning Will Win 2012 NFL MVP Award

Peyton Manning will win the 2012 NFL Comeback Player of the Year Award, but I will go ahead and say that I almost guarantee that he will win the NFL MVP award as well. I would say this with about a 99% confidence level.

Who wouldn’t vote for a guy who missed the entire 2011 season with the Indianapolis Colts because of several neck surgeries to repair nerves in his neck, then was released by the Colts because of the risk and the amount of money he was to be paid, all after everything he had done for the Colts’ franchise?

Now he is on pace to have his second-best season as a pro at 36 years old. If he keeps this pace, Manning will throw for 4,816 yards, which would be his most ever, 38 touchdowns, which will be second only to his miraculous 2004 campaign in which he threw 49, only 10 interceptions and a passer rating of 108.0, the second-best in his historic career.

This is a guy who was already a lock for the Hall of Fame, considered by many the best to ever play the game, and at age 36 is having arguably his best season ever. WOW!

What is amazing about this guy is that he wouldn’t crack the top 100 as most athletic in the NFL, but it’s his hard work and the study of the game that separates him from the rest.

If he continues to play the way he is now and the Denver Broncos keep playing well, I would be shocked to see someone else win the MVP award. Manning is by far the most valuable player this year and I will predict with a 99% guarantee that he will win the award this season.
