When the San Diego Chargers step onto Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday, it will be their first time this season, but it won’t be the first time the Chargers have faced the Denver Broncos in 2012.
It wasn’t many weeks ago when the Chargers hosted the Broncos and lost 35-24, after leading 24-0 at the half.
The Broncos believe that this time around the game will go start-to-finish the same way it went in the second half during the first contest. The Broncos claim that even when they were down 24-0 at the half, they never doubted that they could come back. They believe that they will be able to exploit the Chargers’ secondary very easily once again this week.
The Broncos’ sack specialist, LB Elvis Dumervil is listed as questionable and did miss Wednesday’s practice. If Dumervil is not able to go by Friday, he will likely miss the game against Denver’s division rival and would be replaced by former first-round pick Robert Ayers. The fourth-year pro filled in nicely when Dumervil went down against the Carolina Panthers after making two tackles for loss and recording one sack.
The Broncos are hot and arguably a top-five NFL team right now, while the Chargers haven’t looked very good all season. If the Broncos bring their “A” game, this matchup will go in their favor and possibly result in a win by a large margin.
Broncos 37, Chargers 17
