Arizona Cardinals DE Calais Campbell a Game Time Decision
The Arizona Cardinals will wait until Sunday to see if DE Calais Campbell will be able to play against the Atlanta Falcons. However, in my opinion, the Cardinals will not have a chance either way. If this is the case, I would rather see him comeback against the St. Louis Rams on the 25th of November and have an impact in that game.
The Cardinals caught the injury bug this season and there is nothing a team can do about that except play smart. If a player is injured make sure that they are 100 percent before they come back so they don’t risk a bigger injury. This is that situation. Regardless of if the Cardinals win or lose this week, next week will be a must win for Head Coach Ken Whisenhunt. His seat is not quite hot, but if his losing streak reaches 7 it will be on fire and he will be looking for work at the end of the season.
Earlier this year, the Cardinals sat down RB Beanie Wells. I agreed with this move because it was a smart thing to do. At the time, the Cardinals would have loved having a fresh set of legs going into the final playoff stretch. Now it does not look like they are going to be in the final playoff stretch, but a win this week and next catapults them back into the playoff picture. It probably won’t happen, and if the Cardinals get down early and Campbell is in the game I expect Arizona to be smart and shut him down and let the backups get some time.
