When the Atlanta Falcons take the field against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Raymond James Stadium, wide receiver Roddy White will probably have two numbers on his mind: 10 and 54. Atlanta will have won 10 games after Sunday if they beat the Buccaneers and 54 is how many yards White needs to in order to have another 1000 yard season.
Currently Roddy White has 946 receiving yards off on 62 catches and four touchdowns. Considering the way White has been playing as of late he should do this easily, even against a stingy Bucs defense. In his last three games, White has gained 118, 114 and 123 yards. The Buccaneers may snap his streak of games over 100 yards but White will surely find a way to get those 54 yards.
Roddy White has gone over the 1000 yard mark for the last five seasons and will surely do it again for this season. White remains one on Matt Ryan’s favorite targets and has been a great mentor for second year receiver, Julio Jones.
For those who need something to complain about, the only thing is he has not scored a touchdown in the last four games and only has four on the year. Nevertheless, his team is 9-1 and Roddy White is on track for a pro bowl season for sure.
