With more days than usual to sit and relax, you would think that the Tennessee Titans injury report would look a lot cleaner than it does for this Week 12. However many of the guys that are listed on the report will end up playing on Sunday. The Titans organization is just required of course to list any injuries.
The Titans will have a shorter day today due to the Holiday but up until now this is the list of injuries as of yesterday afternoon.
Players that did not practice Wednesday included tight end Craig Stevens (hamstring), running back Jamie Harper (ankle), wide receiver Lavelle Hawkins (ankle), and safety Al Afalava (ankle). They are all expected to play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars though.
Other players that are currently listed on the injury list include quarterback Jake Locker (shoulder), wide receiver Kenny Britt (knee), linebacker Colin McCarthy (ankle) and tackle Bryon Stingily (back). All of these players though participated in a full practice.
Linebacker Xavier Adibi (knee) returned to practice yesterday. Based on these injuries it looks like there will be plenty of people to go to this coming Sunday.
It’s pretty repetitive but a healthy team is harder to beat than a team with injuries. If McCarthy’s ankle can get back to 100 percent, the defense would see a huge improvement and that may solve some of their problems.
And for all of those assuming, the ankle and shoulder injuries to Britt and Locker are clearly ongoing, nothing new has resulted. Both guys being listed on the report is just a precaution.
