The New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers will be matching up this coming Sunday Night. The Packers have had an edge of late during the regular season. The Giants have had an edge in their playoff meetings over the last couple of years. It’s an old school NFL rivalry that has certainly picked up in recent years. Let’s take a look at some of the things to watch for.

Safety First: Kenny Phillips will make his return for the Giants barring any setbacks between now and kickoff. Stevie Brown has done the job filling into his spot. Antrel Rolle has been his usual steady self. Now the question is whether or not the Giants use a three safety look that they used last year, with Brown and Phillips in the back and Rolle playing nickel. It could help the secondary that has had its struggles this year.

Rattle The Cage: Justin Tuck called Aaron Rodgers unrattleable. For the Giants to win this game, they need to rattle him early and often. The Packers usually leaky offensive line has done a better job of late in protecting him. Rodgers does a great job of getting away from pressure and is very mobile. Look for him to make plays outside the pocket. If he does, it could be a long day for the Giants.

So Tired: How tired is Eli Manning’s arm? Does he even have a tired arm? Did the bye week help him? Eli is going to have to perform well and throw the ball effectively to give the Giants a shot of winning this one. This will probably be another shootout.
