The Oakland Raiders need to fill a lot of holes on their depth chart, they may want to take a look at Texas A&M Aggies offensive lineman Luke Joeckel.

Joeckel (Joke-ell) is the top prospect at the offensive tackle position and is expected to be drafted in the top 10. Depending on who gets the first pick in the draft, he can easily be the first pick overall.

The Raiders offensive struggles start at the offensive line, they could not block for Darren McFadden early on in the year, and now they are failing to pass-block for Carson Palmer.

Joeckel has great size and perfect height. He has proven that he can compete with the SEC’s best, and is a strong force for Johnny Manziel. It always helps a player’s stock when he can say he blocked for the possible Heisman Trophy winner and maybe this year’s best quarterback.

This would be the safest move for the Raiders at the moment, especially if they have a top three pick in the first round. They need to make many moves to get this team to become a contender, so they can look elsewhere for pass-rushers, secondary men, wide receivers, etc.

As far as a grade for the Raiders, some fans may think this is crazy, but if the Raiders do not like a quarterback in this that they feel will make an immediate impact, then they should take a lineman. Joeckel is their best option in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Raiders prospect grade: A+
