The Buffalo Bills Should put in a Claim for Linebacker Rolando McClain

Moments ago, the Oakland Raiders waived linebacker Rolando McClain. McClain (pictured above #55) was the eighth pick overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.

On his personal twitter account, McClain said “I’m gonna weigh my options. Looking forward to playing for an actual ‘team’.” I  can’t say I blame him for being annoyed at all,Oakland has been not a great place to play, as they haven’t made the playoffs since 2002. I know my Buffalo Bills haven’t made it since 1999, but still, we’ve at least tried to field football players, not track stars.

If the Bills were to get him, this would be a major coup since linebacker seems to be the big glaring hole on this season’s defense. McClain is only 23 years old, so he has plenty of a career left. McClain since he is so young, he could continue on progressive youth movement.

This wouldn’t be the Bills first foray into claiming a bigger name, since apparently we made a claim for former eagles defensive end Jason Babin, and they did take a huge gamble that didn’t pay off as well in Shawne Merriman, but this is just my take, what do you all think? Let me know!
