Victor Cruz of New York Giants Leading NFC Receivers In Pro Bowl Voting

Victor Cruz of the New York Giants has become one of the most popular players in the league and that shows in the Pro Bowl voting. Cruz is the only Giant to be a leading vote getter for the Pro Bowl and is 10th in overall votes.

Cruz has more than 352,000 votes for him. Voting concludes Dec. 17, so those numbers will certainly rise. Cruz has the most votes of any NFC receiver and is second to A.J. Green in votes at their position.

“I’m humbled man,” Cruz said. “It’s just crazy to think, it’s crazy to even fathom the thought that just three years ago I was a guy nobody knew and now I am leading in votes in the Pro Bowl.

“Words can’t even explain how I feel about that right now. I am just extremely humbled by it. Hopefully, I can continue my high level of play and not let the fans down.”

Cruz leads the team with 63 catches for 779 yards and eight touchdowns so far this season. He’s currently 11th in catches, 13th in yards and tied for third in touchdowns. His 110 targets are also eighth in the league.

Cruz is very active in social media, has made a plane catch video and it looks like he’ll make other promotional videos to get the word out to vote for him for the Pro Bowl.

Yes, no one cares about playing in the Pro Bowl it seems since no one wants to get hurt, but I’m sure the players like to be picked and get a trip to Hawaii out of it. That can’t be too bad, right?
