NFL Week 13 Preview: Titans vs Texans

Chris Johnson against Texans

It is Week 13 in the professional football world and that means another meeting between the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. With the way the Titans are playing, they will need another miracle to pull off a win against one of the best defenses in the league.

The last time these two teams met, the Titans got killed. A final score of 38-14 set the Titans up for a reality check. J.J. Watt is the talk of Houston as well he should be. The guy is dangerous and there nothing else to it.

The Titans will have a fresh start to their offense this week with the change in offensive coordinator. However, I don’t think that it will be hardly enough to get past arguably the best team in the NFL. Despite a little discomfort in his left shoulder from a hit last week, it looks like the Titans are sticking with Jake Locker as the starting quarterback.

On the other side of things, it’s the same old song and dance with the Texans. Matt Schaub will be throwing to a great one-two punch in Arian Foster and Andre Johnson. These Texans are good. There is just no stopping them this season and I would not be surprised to see them in the Super Bowl.

Don’t forget how Locker’s arm got hurt to begin with in late October. Yes, the strong defense of Watt. One thing that the Titans will have on their side this week will be the fact that the game is in Nashville.

Considering the Titans are going up against a great team, they cannot go into the game with an attitude that they are going to lose ( I don’t know many athletes that do that anyway). But still, if they are able to focus on fundamentals and organizing themselves, it won’t be a complete blowout like it was that day in late September.
