Defensive End Chris Long is Week 14′s Public Enemy #1
It’s that time a week again to name my Public Enemy #1, and this week’s winner is left end, Chris Long. Long is a second generation defensive end, with hall of famer Howie Long being his father.
Long is a tenacious pass rusher who was drafted second overall in the 2008 NFL Draft and has had seven sacks this year, and 37.5 for his career. He has a lot of traits like his father, but one big difference between the father is that Howie was always extremely insecure so he never knew how good he really was, and the Chris is much more confident in his abilities and rightfully so. It’s been noted that Chris and Howie don’t really talk, so Chris feels he’s always relied on his athletic abilities rather than his last name.
I think the 6′ 4″ 275 lb. Long could have a big game against the Buffalo Bills due to the fact that right tackle, Chris Hairston is likely out with an ankle injury and Sam Young will be playing and making his first NFL start Sunday in Buffalo and it might become a long day for Ryan Fitzpatrick, but that’s just my take, what do you all think? let me know!
Once again thank you for reading one of my articles, and I heavily encourage discussion so either leave a comment on here, hit me up on twitter @TheProfessorSD or I am using Google+ so if you could +1 this and any other article of mine you’ve read and liked. I will discuss this article or anything else you’d like football related! Have a great day!
