It has been a disappointing season for Norv Turner. Actually, scratch that. It has been a disappointing tenure for Turner with the San Diego Chargers. 2012 will be the final year of that tenure as the team will fire him once the season is over. It might be a few years too late but at least it is getting done.
Norv Turner and AJ Smith out at the end of the season in San Diego, says @utkevinacee utsandiego.com/news/2012/dec/…

I mean, you cannot disagree with this. No coach has ever done less with more than Turner. You can argue that all you want but there is no reason that the Chargers have not played in a Super Bowl under his watch. He had all the talent in the world and the team just crumbled year after year. However, they kept bringing him back so I guess some of the blame should go to the team.
I honestly have no idea where they turn after this. The team is in a serious rut this year, but they will have a high draft pick for it. However, Philip Rivers looks like he is regressing and that is not a good sign. If he does not find some of his old form, it could be a long few years in SD. They need him at the top of his game if they want to compete in that division.
So long, Norv. I bet the fans will not miss you.
