Poll Says The Obvious: Dallas Cowboys Are Most Loved And Hated NFL Team

In a poll that’s conducted every year, with usually with the same results, the Dallas Cowboys were voted the NFL‘s most loved and the the most hated team in the league. Well slap that Macaulay Culkin shaving face on me from Home Alone and called me shocked!

The results of the poll are no surprise. When it comes to the Cowboys, like the New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers or Duke Blue Devils basketball team, you either love them or hate them. There is very little ground in between; try and think of the last time you heard someone say, ‘I really don’t mind the Dallas Cowboys.’ I’m guessing it never happens and if it did, it’s a rare occurrence.

The annual Public Policy Poll concluded that America’s favorite football team was a tie between the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers, each tied with 12% of the votes. Once again proving why they are called America’s Team.

Conversely, the Cowboys were far and away the most hated team at 18%, while the next closest team was the Chicago Bears at 11%.

Again, none of these poll results should be shocking. The Cowboys have always had a love/hate relationship with football fans around the United States. The results also back up what I have always said about rooting for the Dallas Cowboys; they are the best team in the NFL to root for when they’re winning and the worst team to be a fan of when they’re losing. It takes a lot of guts to be a Cowboys fan and I applaud each and everyone of you.

This poll also makes me ask, why are we spending money and resources on a poll where any average person on the street could give us the results to? Time and money wasted folks.

The Dallas Cowboys are the most loved and hated NFL team, to steal a line from Jim Carrey in Dumb & Dumber, “We landed on the moon!”
