The next few weeks will bring the 2013 Pro Bowl rosters in the National Football League and was trying to think about who should or shouldn’t make it to the game. I came across the No. 1 pick in last year’s draft Andrew Luck. I really started looking through the quarterbacks in the AFC and think Luck has a real chance to make it to Hawaii the week before the Super Bowl.
It is a given that Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will make it but after those two, it becomes really foggy to me on who the third quarterback would be. Luck has been up and down all season long and didn’t have a great game for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday against the Tennessee Titans but Indianapolis did win to make it to 8-4 on the season. It is really looking like Luck will lead the Colts back from a 2-14 season to the playoffs. Is there really any other quarterback in the AFC that deserves to go over Luck? The only argument I could come up with was Matt Schaub, who has the Houston Texans on a collision course with the top seed in the conference.
Luck is near the top of the league in passing yards and the story with everything that has happened in Indianapolis that may have distracted a team has really brought the Colts together with their rookie leader. It is going to be close I’m sure when the rosters are announced in less than two weeks. I really hope though that Luck will find his name on that roster even before all the other players decline to go.
