The New York Jets have been dealing with injuries to their receiving corps all season long, and it’s looking like it’s going to be more of the same in Week 15 when the Jets face the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.

Starting tight end Dustin Keller (above ) and rookie wide receiver Stephen Hill are going to be listed as doubtful this weekend and likely will be inactive due to an ankle injury and knee injury, respectively.

The Jets lost their best offensive playmaker, Santonio Holmes, for the season in September. Since then, they’ve been forced to rely on a stable of young receivers, and it’s been a bit of a baptism by fire.

Second-year man Jeremy Kerley has been outstanding, all things considered. Arguably no offensive player has stepped their game up more than Kerley has, yet he’s been playing through an array of injuries himself.

It’s possible that recently-reacquired wideout Braylon Edwards will play this week in place of Hill, and fellow wideout Clyde Gates has been limited in practice this week as he tries to recover from a concussion.

25-year-old Jeff Cumberland has filled in nicely for Keller this season, and he’ll get the start again this week.

It’s been a bumpy ride for the Jets offense, but they’ve been able to rely on their improving running game in recent weeks, and that’s helped them stay alive in an AFC playoff race that is still very much up for grabs.

With these receivers banged up again this week, it might be a heavy dose of the running game again. If it results in another victory, and a rebound to a .500 record, the Jets will take it anyway they can.
