Denver Broncos Win Twice on Sunday

The Denver Broncos won Sunday versus the Baltimore Ravens and then they won again on Sunday night when the New England Patriots lost. The Broncos now have the inside track to the second seed in the AFC, and a first-round bye. They do not need any more help; all the Broncos have to do is win their remaining two games and the second seed is theirs.

As important as the bye is; there is something even more important to the Broncos. Any playoff game versus the Patriots would take place in Denver; assuming the Broncos take care of business versus the Cleveland Browns and Kansas City Chiefs. It is the NFL and anything can happen, but it is difficult to envision either of those teams winning in Denver.

The mantra for the Broncos all season has been one game at a time and while every team says that; the Broncos have backed it up. There has not been a letdown versus lesser teams and on Sunday they dominated a good team in the Ravens. If the Broncos take that same approach over the last two weeks, then they will be enjoying wildcard weekend from the comfort of their own homes.

The Broncos very well could be the best team in the league and with Sunday’s results; the rewards are starting to roll in. Any game with the Patriots will be tough but if it is in Denver, then you would have to like the Broncos chances. Not a bad day’s work; win in Baltimore and the watch the Patriots lose. The season is starting to have that championship feel.
