When it comes to the National Football League, there is no higher level of professionalism. The most skilled and athletic players in the world go to 32 teams that are coached by some of the best and most knowledgeable coaches out there.

With this kind of professionalism and talent in one league, people expect to see games played by the best players with few mistakes and hold these players to a top level.

For the most part, this is exactly what people get when they watch an NFL game. Competition is extremely high and the game is played to a high standard. However, this has not always been the case this season.

Take a look at the start of the 2012 season. The replacement refs were doing a horrific job calling these games and many of these missed calls changed the outcome of these match-ups. For a league with such a high reputation, the rules should be held by the most experienced refs.

As the season moved on and the regular refs returned there are still incidences were a team that should be playing at a professional level looked more like a college team. There have been many games that were not clean and were difficult to watch based on how sloppy the play was.

Teams like the New York Jets have been guilty of this on more than one occasion this season.

Taking a look at the few games that were changed based on a replacement ref and how a team performed on their own, here are the 10 sloppiest games of the 2012 NFL season:

The Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets totaled five turnovers in a sloppy low scoring game that led to a six to seven win for the Jets.
