Indianapolis Colts vs. Kansas City Chiefs NFL Week 16 Preview and Prediction

The NFL season is nearing it’s end and the playoff picture is becoming clearer by the week. Most of the AFC seeding will likely be set after this weekend with the Indianapolis Colts being a part of the postseason. The Colts can clinch the fifth seed and a playoff berth by simply beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

That likely will happen.

The Chiefs are in disarray as it’s been speculated that their head coach Romeo Crennel and and GM Scott Pioli have been told they’re not going to be back next season. Add in the two wins is among the worst in franchise history and they’re tied for the worst record in the league with the Jacksonville Jaguars so they’re not wanting to win to ruin any chance as the top pick in next April’s draft.

The Colts have some major injury problems on the offensive line and in the linebacking area, but that shouldn’t come into play Sunday. The Chiefs rank 27th against the rush and struggle to score on offense. They rank dead last in points per game and 25th in total offense.

Chiefs quarterback Brady Quinn will likely have fits with the Colts defense this week as the team ranks dead last in interceptions and touchdown passes thrown. For once the Colts should have an advantage on that side of the football.

With the Colts having playoff implications on Sunday and the Chiefs playing to lose I expect the Colts to steamroll the Chiefs on Sunday.
