Well week 16 is going to be a big one for the Tennessee Titans and their injury report doesn’t look too bad. And that’s a good thing. Nashville’s team is playing against the leader in the NFC North, the intimidating Green Bay Packers.
This game scares me-probably more than the games against the Houston Texans. Mainly because I have been a Chicago Bears’ follower much longer than I have covering the Titans-let’s face it, I’m from Chicago.
The good thing is that there is only one player officially ruled “out” against the Packers will be center Kevin Matthews with a newly sprained ankle from last Monday night against the New York Jets.
Players that are questionable and will be a game day decision include linebacker Colin McCarthy (concussion), cornerback Ryan Mouton (hamstring), defensive end Scott Solomon (knee), wide receivers Damian Williams (hamstring) and Kenny Britt (rib).
Probable players for the Titans include wide receiver Kenny Britt (knee), quarterback Jake Locker (shoulder), and linebacker Will Witherspoon (hamstring.)
I can’t express how much injuries have hurt the Titans this season. It seems like every week there are overlaps of players that miss at least two weeks straight and then new names get added into the mix. It is a huge reason why the Titans had such an unsuccessful season.
To me, linebacker Colin McCarthy was the biggest lost. The defense was very inconsistent this season but whenever he was in the lineup everything seemed to go alright. When players had to shift around like Witherspoon has all season they took their roles very seriously but it just was not the same.
