-Live From My Couch-

Led by a somewhat still injured Robert Griffin III, the Washington Redskins held on to beat the Philadelphia Eagles 27-20. Below are some thoughts and observations.

1. Here’s the funniest Meme I saw on Twitter today in regards to fans getting ready for the game:

2. The Eagles have nothing to lose and they showed it the entire game.  On the first drive they went for it on fourth down. They were 9/16 coming into the game and were able to complete the first down conversion. They’re playing for next season and they know it. Might as well do the unexpected.  They chewed up 5 minutes on their first drive out. It was their best drive of the game.

3. My wife is still an Eagles fan, so trash talk was in effect after leaving church (So what if it’s almost Christmas? It’s eat or be eaten in my house).

4. It was good to see RG3 back on the field. Kirk Cousins did a superb job holding down the fort in his absence.

5. RG3 took his time running out of bounds. Commentators said he was a “little ginger” on that knee. The was obvious.  He had a huge knee brace on.

6. It was great to see London Fletcher grab an interception today. He’s so underrated in the NFL, but he’s the best franchise player I’ve ever seen. It was his 23rd career interception, trailing Ray Lewis. He’s also had an interception in three straight games.

7. Kai Forbath! Who would have ever thought that we would be talking about a great Redskins field goal kicker? No one.

8. By the Third quarter, I went out to the living room and told my wife, “Your Eagles suck!”. My son then confesses that he’s no longer an Eagles fan with mom but a Redskins Fan (progress has been made). He said they finally have a “unique quarterback”.

9. RG3 and Alfred Morris almost have 2,500 yards of offense.

10. Chris Cooley finally got his number called. Finally.
