A Denver Broncos Christmas Story

Ron Chenoy-USA Today Sports

T’was the night before Christmas, and all through the house, only Kansas City Chiefs were stirring, fearing a rout.  Denver Broncos relax, after a week 16 beating, of an old rival, a once proud Cleveland.  Broncos coaches and players, suddenly prepare, to bring joy once again, to the Mile High air.

This one’s for you, John Elway, our hero and savior, building this team, with a vision and passion.  Pat Bowlen was wise, to trust in your senses, now the fruits of your labor, are here upon us.

The rebirth of Peyton Manning,  most considered old and frail, will prove once again, why he is the best in the NFL.  His audibles and command, at the line of scrimmage, is second to none, not even to the Brady in New England.  As he hands off to Knowshon Moreno, the chains will be moved, towards the opponents end zone, a drive looking smooth.

Receivers a-plenty, as Manning sprays the ball, with accuracy and precision, while getting the score.  Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker, are the outside threats, Jacob Tamme and Joel Dreessen, are the inside pests.  In case you fail to realize, how good this offense can be, just ask San Diego, where the Rivers was leaked.

On the other side of the ball, havoc awaits, a man named Von Miller, will make opposing QBs shake.  Joined by a Wolfe, Derek that is, and another named Elvis, a formidable presence.  In the secondary a duo, that fears no one, Champ Bailey and Chris Harris will shutdown outside options.  All over the field, Broncos are stirring, awaiting the chance, to prevent your advancing.

So as we sit down, for a Christmas Eve dinner, be proud of your Broncos, an eventual Super Bowl winner.  John Fox and his staff, will set the game plan, and with a little “Luck”, the path will be in hand.  Get ready Broncos fans, for week 17, when the Colts beat the Texans, who will surrender the number one seed!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all! And to all a good night!
