Nick Foles Breaks Hand, Michael Vick Will Start Week 17
In Week 17, for the Philadelphia Eagles Michael Vick (pictured above) will make the start at quarterback over rookie Nick Foles (pictured below) as he is on the mend after breaking his hand in the game versus the Washington Redskins. This could be the swan song for Vick and head coach Andy Reid in Philadelphia, at least.
Backing up Vick on Sunday will be Trent Edwards, who knows the Eagles might come out and be playoff spoiler as they play the New York Giants.Vick also hasn’t played in a game since week 10 from receiving a severe concussion and he wasn’t likely to return this season, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
In just over nine games this year, Vick has amassed 2,165 yards passing with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions, not to mention 307 yards rushing and a rushing touchdown. Although the most important stat of this year is the fact he was had a record of three wins to six losses. Granted that isn’t entirely his fault I mean the Eagles line has been atrocious at best this season but he is the quarterback, thus he is the face of the franchise so the blame will be put on him.
Where will Vick go from here? The short answer is I don’t know, however I’m sure some team will try to rehab him yet again.
