Rookie Quarterbacks Get Snubbed For Pro Bowl

When the 2013 Pro Bowl rosters were announced, I took a look at who got in and who got snubbed like everyone else did. I was baffled by two players not getting any love at all in Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson. I know that both of them are leading their teams to the playoffs and at least one of them should have made the game.

I can see Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers being in the game. I’m a bit miffed by Matt Schaub even though his team is leading the AFC right now along with Matt Ryan, who like Schaub has his him in the top spot in the NFC. I also know that at least two or three of these quarterbacks won’t end up playing in the game either so there is room for players like Luck and Wilson in due time but why not just put them in now? I would love to see expanded rosters for the game but no one seems to want to play in it anyway so that won’t work.

I will just hope that two of the quarterbacks who made it will end up in the Super Bowl so they are not eligible for the game which would allow Luck and Wilson to get in. The two of them along with Robert Griffin III, who did get in, have changed the National Football League in 2012 and should be rewarded for that. They still might but for now, it seems like a robbery not to have Luck or Wilson or both on the Pro Bowl rosters.
