Seattle Seahawks Finish Undefeated at Home as They Prepare for the Playoffs
It was a hard battle till the end when quarterback Russell Wilson finally scored on a touchdown run to give the Seahawks the lead with under two minutes to go in the game.
Though it was a low scoring game, Wilson still had a monster of a performance throwing for 250 yards and one touchdown along with his rushing touchdown and 58 yards on the ground.
Wide receiver Golden Tate put up an impressive performance totaling 105-yards on only three catches.
With this win, the Seahawks finish with one of their best regular season records and extend their winning streak to five as they head into the postseason. This win gives Seattle the confidence they need to go on the road in the first wild card game of the playoffs and put out a postseason victory.
The Seahawks will face the winner of the NFC East next week which will be a tough challenge since Seattle has not had their best performances on the road this season. Whoever the Seahawks end up playing, that team will have to deal with a fired up squad led by a remarkable rookie quarterback and a dominate running back in Marshawn Lynch.
Along with the offense, Seattle’s defense continues to prove that it’s one of the best in the league allowing only 79-yards rushing against the Rams, and it’s clear the unit will pose a problem for any team the Seahawks face this postseason.
It has been an amazing season for the Seahawks, starting with how well their rookies have produced, to now as they prepare to go to the playoffs and make a big run for the Super Bowl. The Seahawks have proven they can beat the tough teams at home, now they will have to show the world what they can do in the postseason under their rookie quarterback.
