Trindon Holliday Is A Perfect 16-0 This Season

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

There is still a chance that we see a 19-0 record this football season. No, there is no team that can go undefeated but there is one player who can. Trindon Holliday, a special teams ace for the Denver Broncos, finished the regular season 16-0. If they win the Super Bowl, he will be the only player in history to go 19-0.

Holliday started with the Houston Texans, where they reeled off a 5-0 record.  They parted ways with him and the Broncos wasted no time scooping him up.  Since Holliday has been on the team, they have gone a perfect 11-0.  Sounds like someone might be a very good luck charm this season.

This is one of those strange things that makes sports so interesting.  It would be hard to say that Holliday is responsible for this record because he really does not have a huge impact on the game.  However, the record is hard to dismiss.  He has not lost a game this year and that has to count for something.

There is actually a very good chance that he gets that perfect 19-0.  The Broncos are on a roll right now and I am not sure that anyone can stop them.  The defense is playing amazing and Peyton Manning is still doing things that no one thought he could anymore.

The perfect ending for this would be a Broncos Super Bowl win that has Holliday score the crucial touchdown on a kick return.  In a wacky year of football, that would be the cherry on top.
