Andy Reid Will Indeed Be Next Coach Of The Kansas City Chiefs

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

I know that a lot of fans were sick of Andy Reid.  The fact that he was fired was more of a change of scenery than performance based thing in my mind.  Anyways, he did not stay without a job long.  It appears that he will be taking his talents to Kansas City to lead the Kansas City Chiefs for the foreseeable future.

sorry, my bad here- deal between Chiefs and Andy Reid is NOW imminent. As in will be finalized likely by end of day

There will be some people that don’t like this hire, but the Chiefs made a splash.  Reid was probably the best coach on the market and he should be able to help turn things around immediately.  However, he is going to have to find a QB to make his system work.  I doubt that anyone on KC’s roster is ready to run the offense that Reid employs.  This means I will not be shocked if the team takes a QB very early in the draft.

This is also going to be good for the fans because it means that Scott Pioli will not be with the organization for much longer.  Reid will want his own GM to come in and Pioli is way too much of a micro-manager to work with a guy like Reid.  Then again, a lot of fans will be happy to see Pioli get out of town.

The Chiefs have a ways to go but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
