NFL Rumors: Chicago Bears Could Bring in New QB

NFL rumors continue to swirl left and right as it’s that time of year again. This one involves the Chicago Bears, who could be bringing in a new quarterback. That doesn’t necessarily mean this new guy will be replacing Jay Cutler, but his presence alone could turn Chicago into a three-ring circus. Sound familiar? Nothing has been confirmed, but there’s a rumor going around that the Bears might be looking to bring Tim Tebow to Chicago.

Say it ain’t so!

Again, this is just a rumor and nothing has been confirmed, but think of the possibilities–or lack thereof–if Tebow goes from the Big Apple to the Windy City. New Bears head honcho Marc Trestman is a quarterback’s coach, but he has his work cut out for him already with Cutler (no pun intended) so Heaven knows he doesn’t have time for a project like Tebow.

The Bears are not a mentally tough team, so the less distractions that come their way, the better. Chicago fans should hope that this rumor is just that and nothing more. Tebow coming to town could derail everything, just like what happened with the New York Jets this year.

You can’t dislike Tebow, but that doesn’t mean you have to want him to play for your favorite team, either. Everyone was hoping he’d end up in his hometown with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but that didn’t happen, so now his future is a huge question mark and many think he may be out of the NFL altogether soon. Either way, Bears fans should he’s nowhere near Chicago by the time all is said and done.
